FAI BABA

Fabian Sigmund, Zurichois à la voix cristalline, a commencé à jouer en solo sous le pseudonyme de FAI BABA. Le fantôme du blues hante sa musique, laissant une place à des passages bruitistes, électriques et crasseux, créant un contraste avec les ballades soul rurale. Les textes susurrent ou hurlent des émotions mélancoliques et torturées, la voix et la musique séduisent par leur atmosphère et son particulier. Le premier album « Love Sikk » à été enregistré à la maison avec un poster du far-west au mur, puis d'autres albums sont venus s'ajouter à sa discographie ces dernières années.

Fai Baba is a Swiss Psychedelic, Garage and Soul band based in Zürich, Switzerland. The group consists of Fabian Sigmund (Lead Guitar, Vocals) and changing members, for the time Frank Mottier (Drums) and Luckas Müller (Bass). Fai Baba incorporate sounds of early R&B, Psychedelic Rock, UK Blues, Folk and Soul. Fabian Sigmund (originally from Zürich, Switzerland) founded Fai Baba in 2008 when he came back from a spiritual journey trough India. Fai Baba toured solo playing guitar and looping percussions, vocals and guitar-noises. His debut album "Love Sikk" released 2010 was picked up by A Tree In A Field Records. It’s winter 10/11 when Fai Baba flies to New York. Without further ado he gathers a band around him consisting of members of Viva L’American Death Ray Music, whom he met weeks before in Zürich, Switzerland. They play a couple of gigs under the moniker of Fai Baba and the Creamy Close-Ups and casually released the 7" single "Shine A Light".
